Sauna by the Lake

A great way to relax is to explore the lakeshore by eBike and then jump in the lake for a dip, before finishing off with a sauna. And now we have an extra way you can do this. Last year we operated in conjunction with Lakeside Sauna at Skehanagh. As of 2026 we are also operating in conjunction with Ritual Sauna at Dromineer.

 

Lakeside Sauna

Lakeside Sauna operate 2 mobile saunas at various spots around the lake. For the last year we have been offering an ‘eBike and Sauna’ package where groups will park up at the beautifully quiet area of Skehanagh, then explore the northern Lough Derg shore by eBike, calling in at Kilbarron and Terryglass along the way. On return to Skehanagh, the group will be invited to take a dip in the lake and will then enjoy a relaxing sauna.

Ritual Sauna

New for 2026, we are offering an eBike and Sauna experience from Dromineer, in conjunction with Ritual Sauna. For this experience, you have a choice of 2 eBike tours. The longer version takes you through historic Knigh Cross to the peaceful lake shore at Skehanagh and Luska, before returning via Puckane. The route combines historical sites and beautiful lake views. The shorter cycle takes you to the other side of the bay from Dromineer, looking back across the water from St David’s, before heading uphill for a view across the lake into Counties Galway and Clare. In either case, on returning to Dromineer you will be invited to take a dip in the lake before enjoying a sauna and a coffee.
