It is now over 3 years since I started out in business with Lough Derg eBike Tours, and I am delighted to announce our new venture - a holiday let named The Nest at Kiladangan Cottage!

Our cottage is around 140 years old, and the holiday accommodation is a newly built extension attached to the side. It offers a large dining area and kitchen, a king size bedroom, a wetroom, and a lounge / library.

The Nest sleeps 2 people in the bedroom, with room for 1 or 2 additional people in the lounge on sofa beds. It is available to book on Airbnb, VRBO, or via our own website. Prices will nearly always be lowest on our own website, and we make a point of not penalising solo travellers, unlike a lot of holiday accommodation! One thing which makes The Nest unique is the spacious lounge, which was formerly a library, and still contains a wide selection of books, covering everything from kids' books to history to novels to philosophy, and just about everything in between. We also have a fine selection of board games, with such highlights as Backgammon, Monopoly, Ludo and Snakes and Ladders.

Another unique aspect of The Nest is the beautiful peaceful setting. We are situated a 10-minute drive from the bustling town of Nenagh, but are in the heart of the Tipperary Countryside, with views over the Arra range of hills. The site is on an acre of land, and features the Tubberahoulan stream running across the end of the garden.

For guests at The Nest, there are a number of things to do. They can avail of discounted rates on eBikes, either using the eBikes for a day self-guided, or can go on a guided tour right from the front door, which is a great way to explore the Lough Derg shore.

For those who wish to venture further afield, we are in a very central location, with the East, West and South coasts all within a 2-hour drive, as well as the cities of Galway, Dublin, Limerick, Kilkenny and Cork. Closer to home, the Lough Derg shore is a 5-minute drive away, and a great way to spend a day would be to drive a circuit of the Lough. Other tourism highlights within reach include the Rock of Cashel, Holycross Abbey, the Clare coast (including the Cliffs of Moher and The Burren), the Copper Coast in County Waterford, and the Slieve Blooms.

So come on down for a visit, we look forward to sharing The Nest with you!
