This tour takes you uphill to beautiful panoramic views of Lough Derg, and then down to the Lake Shore at Castlelough and Garrykennedy, returning to Killaloe via the beautiful Arra range.

The Lookout
The Lookout is a viewing area in the Arra Range, where you can look down on the Lake from on high, viewing Counties Tipperary, Clare and Galway.
Castlelough
Castlelough is a small townland on the lake shore, featuring a beach, a ruined church, a castle and woodland. The woodland is a great place for a lake-side stroll.
Garrykennedy
Visit the Lough Derg shore at beautiful and historic Garrykennedy. Here you will find a harbour, a castle and beautiful woodland. You can also pause for refreshments at the coffee van or at Larkins pub.

This tour takes you up in the Arra Mountain Range for some great lake views before descending to some of the beautiful spots on the shores of Lough Derg.
The tour takes in the Lookout, followed by Castlelough and Garrykennedy, before returning to Killaloe via the Arra range.
The tour starts and ends at the Killaloe Hotel and Spa, and is recommended only for experienced cyclists due to the hill climbs and the distance involved. Refreshments are available in Garrykennedy, at either the coffee van or Larkins pub.
