East Clare Hills - 2 or 3 hour tour
This tour starts from Tuamgraney (the car park of Wilde Irish Chocolates) and takes you into Scariff, where you may get lunch or a tea/coffee at East Clare Co-Op. We then head into the countryside, passing by Irish Seed Savers.
Next we loop back to Tuamgraney via the lower reaches of the Slieve Bearnagh range of hills. The longer route also explores the area around Ogonnelloe, passing spectacular views of Lough Derg along the way.
By arrangement, the tour can also start and finish at Irish Seed Savers.
Important Information
You need to wear comfortable clothing. Lightweight rain gear is always advisable.
The price for this tour is €75 per person.
The tour is 2 hours if doing the short route, or 3 hours for the longer route.

Tuamgraney
Tuamgraney is a very historic market town, featuring the oldest Church still in regular use in Ireland, as well as the Wilde Irish Chocolates factory and McKernan Woollen Mill.
Scariff
Scariff is a charming market town. Here you can get a coffee or lunch at East Clare Community Co-Op before heading out of town to Irish Seed Savers, where there is a 20-acre organic gardens and woodlands. As part of this tour, you can opt to do a guided tour of the site.
Slieve Bearnagh
The Slieve Bearnagh hills overlook Lough Derg's western shore. The next stage of this tour takes you up into the lower reaches of the range, exploring quiet back roads before returning to Tuamgraney. The longer version of the tour adds an additional loop to Ogonelloe, and includes spectacular views of Lough Derg.
More Information - East Clare Hills
This tour takes you up into the hills above Tuamgraney in East County Clare.
There are 2 versions of the tour, to suit all levels of ability.
Short Version. This version takes you out of Tuamgraney to Scariff, then completes a loop back to Tuamgraney via quiet back roads. This version takes around 2 hours.

Longer version. This version takes the same route as the shorter version, except that before returning to Tuamgraney an additional loop is added in, taking you over the top of Slieve Bearnagh (which is a fairly steep climb), before ascending to Lough Derg at Ogonnelloe. The advantage of the climb is that you then get to enjoy spectacular views down over the Lake from above. This version takes around 3 hours.
