eBike and RIB Cruise Lake Tour
See the beauty of the lake from the shore and from the water.
Why not make a day of it with this eBike and Lake Cruise experience starting and ending from Dromineer, Co. Tipperary where you can explore on the water and on the shore.
You will eBike along quite country lanes from Dromineer to Terryglass, visiting historic sites and seeing beautiful lake views.
Next, enjoy a discounted lunch at the fantastic Derg Inn at Terryglass, before boarding the RIB for a cruise back to Dromineer on the lake.
For eBiking, there is no minimum age - under-18s are welcome if accompanied by an adult - however there is a minimum height restriction of 5'1" (155cm) for the eBikes. Maximum group size for eBiking is 6 people.
If some of your group would like to enjoy the lunch and lake cruise but not the eBiking, you can be accommodated up to a maximum total group of 10 people. Minimum age for the RIB cruise is 7 years.

EBike Experience
Lake Cruise
We will meet up at Dromineer, by the bus stop (where there is ample parking, or where you can arrive from Nenagh on Route 322). *If planning on using the bus, please let us know when making the booking, and the start time will be adjusted accordingly.
From Dromineer we will head along the back roads, crossing the Nenagh River at the beautiful weir at Ballyartella, before passing the 15th Century castle and church at Knigh Cross.
Next we head through the townlands of Prospect and Carney, arriving at the lakeshore at Luska and Skehanagh. This is a peaceful and very scenic stretch of the lake, which includes my personal favourite viewpoint at Cleary's Quay.
From here we proceed to Kilbarron Village, passing the 12th Century Abbey as well as the new memorial to Shane MacGowan, before passing through Ballinderry and taking the back road to Terryglass.
There are no major hills on this route, but your eBike will make what uphill sections there are feel like a breeze.
The return journey will consist of a Lake Cruise on a Tornado RIB. You will travel from Terryglass and explore Lough Derg from the water, down to Dromineer, with fantastic views of the Tipperary, Galway and Clare shores, as well as numerous islands, including Illaunmore.
The Lake Cruise will take around an hour, and if there are members of your group who wish to take part in the cruise but not the eBiking, they can be accommodated up to a total of 10 people. The Lake Cruise is provided by Derg Lake Tours.
